Rwandan national team goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera and central defender Aimable Nsabimana are scheduled to join Saudi Arabian club Jeddah SC.
Kwizera who featured for Rayon Sports last season declined to extend his contract at the club whereas Nsabimana who was also a key member of APR’s 2021/22 league title winning team was released by the club.
Times Sport understands that talks between Jeddah SC and the two players have reached an advanced stage and they are expected to append their signature to a contract in the coming days.
Both Kwizera and Nsabimana have previously played for clubs outside Rwanda before as the former featured for South African sides Free State Stars and Mthatha Bucks from 2017 to 2019 whereas the gangling centre-back also played for Indian club Minerva Punjab in 2018.
The duo will become the second and third Rwandan players to feature for Jeddah SC after Ally Niyonzima who played there last season.
On the international scene, Kwizera has ten caps with the Rwandan senior national team whilst Nsabimana boasts of six.
Jeddah SC finished 15th out of the twenty teams in the Saudi Arabian second tier league last season and both players could play a key role in their upsurge this season.
