RWANDAN DIASPORA in the United States are looking forward to witness Dream Boys’ old pals Platini P and Jean Claude Mujyanama, also known as TMC, perform together again ahead of the highly-anticipated concert in Portland, Maine.
The departure of Jean-Claude Mujyanama, alias TMC, to the United States two years ago marked the end of Dream Boys, a once popular music band that the singer founded with his music brother Platini.
Many thought that Platini would flop when he started off to a solo music career. However, they were surprised to see the singer drop hit after hit to only prove doubters wrong.
The singer is now doing concerts in the United States, having done his first performance in Kentucky on October 15. His next destination is Portland, Maine, where he will perform on November 11. The singer hopes to light up the stage alongside TMC in what looks to be a Dream Boys reunion for the first time in two years when TMC’s studies got them separated.
Platini told The New Times that he hasn’t met TMC yet since he arrived in the United States but admitted their reunion on stage will be a special moment that music lovers should not afford to miss.
"It is always a good feeling to meet an old friend [on stage],” said Platini
"It’s all thanks to Innox Entertainment who brought the idea which we gladly agreed to when it came to our attention,” the singer added.
Platini and TMC produced great memories in Rwandan music during their time together as Dream Boys, with winning the Primus Guma Guma Super Star arguably their biggest achievement as a duo.
They are expected to perform some of their most popular songs like ‘Iteka n’Iteka’, ‘Uzamubwire’, ‘Magorwa’ and ‘70’ among many other hits that dominated the charts on various local and regional radio and TV stations.
