AS Kigali women football club will open their 2022 CAF Women Champions League qualifying campaign against against Fofila PF of Burundi on August 14th.
The game which will be played at the Azam Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam is a Group A fixture and it promises to be an exciting clash as both teams seek a winning start.
After the first match, A S Kigali will face Warriors FC of Zanzibar on August 18th in match day two before wrapping up against Commercial FC of Ethiopia at the on August 21.
The Rwandan side made it to the competition after winning the domestic league last season which was their eleventh title since the establishment of the Rwandan women football league.
The Kigali city sponsored club will be aiming to grab one of the tickets from the CECAFA zone in the upcoming competition as they hope to feature in the African Women Clubs Championship which is slated for Morocco later this year.
The CECAFA tournament is scheduled to start in Tanzania from August 14th to 28th with AS Kigali women, Fofila FC and Commercial FC in Group A whereas Group B is made up of Simba Ladies, Garde Republican FC from Djibouti, She Corporate FC from Uganda and Yei Joint FC from South Sudan.
