Singer Buravan has left for India after spending over a week at Kigali Faisal Hospital where he was hospitalised. He is battling an illness that is not yet known.
His brother has assured the public that he is in good hands and that fans and friends shouldn’t panic.
The delay of his diagnosis has left the singer’s friends and fans puzzled and many continue to send him messages of comfort and prayers.
A statement shared on his Twitter account informed his friends and fans about his health situation. "Yvan Buravan would like to let his friends and fans know that he is abroad for medical treatment. He thanks the family and government of Rwanda for the assistance with his medical care and for all those keeping him in their prayers and wishing for his recovery.”
Talking to The New Times, Martial Batangana, Buravan’s brother said that he is in good hands and is getting good medical assistance.
"His family and the government are supporting him and ask his friends and fans not to worry or panic. Buravan thanks them for their prayers and for continuously encouraging him,” he adds.
He mentioned that the artiste did not wish to share much as he needs space and facilitate those who are supporting him to focus.
Buravan initially went for treatment at the Kigali University Hospital (CHUK) thinking that he was suffering from stomachache but the doctors weren’t able to discover the illness, prompting him to travel to Kenya. They also struggled to figure out what caused the problem until his family decided to take him to Kigali Faisal Hospital where he has been hospitalized for over a week.
