Patriots basketball club are keen on taking second spot in the ongoing national basketball regular league, when they face United Generation Basketball (UGB) at Nyandungu court at 6pm.

Patriots coach Bernard ‘Ben’ Olouch believes his boys will prevail in the tie.

"We want to win Friday’s game, the players are fit and everything is in place to make it happen. We are playing one of the league’s giants, but we have prepared thoroughly,” Olouch said.

He added "The game against UGB is a must-win, the title race has reached a crucial stage, where every game counts. The target now is to win all of our remaining games.”

Elsewhere, Patriots basketball club also had a busy weekend with two games lined-up.

They play United Generation Basketball (UGB) today and UR Huye on Saturday.

They now lead the table with 42 points, four points ahead of second placed APR, while Patriots are in third place with 36 points.
