IF YOU ONLY KNEW Element as a producer, you should now adjust and call him a singing producer. Born Fred Robinson Mugisha, Element Pro has joined the singing industry after three years of making music as an audio producer.
The 23-year-old musician who rose to stardom through Country Records owned by Noopja announced the development after releasing his first single dubbed Kashe that premiered on his birthday, July 24.
Since Noopja introduced Element to the music scene, he has used his touch and skills to make hundreds of tracks that boosted the Rwandan music industry and took it to another level. By 2021, the fast-rising producer was the most trending producer in Rwanda, behind hits like 'Nazubaye', 'Samoya', 'Bado', among others.
Speaking to The New Times, Element said that since his childhood, he always had passion for singing, and dropping his recently released track is a move to re-introduce his name to Rwanda’s music industry in a way that will cater for not only Rwandan artistes, but also his fans.
He said that Kashe is among many other projects he has in store this year including extended plays, mixtapes, singles and albums that will be released soon.
"I’ve been composing and producing songs for other artistes for a long time, and this time I decided to work on my own project and see the outcome. Within only 24 hours since the song premiered, it is already topping charts in Rwanda and trending on all streaming platforms. It is already a summer tune!” he said.
According to Noopja, founder of Country Records and Element’s manager, the young producer's decision to start singing isn’t a surprise to him over how he has been helping Rwandan artistes in arranging melodies, recording, and composing songs for a long time.
He said that the likes of Dr Dre, Tekno and Krizzbeats, also started singing after producing hundreds of tracks and it boosted their music career, noting that Element’s decision to sing will also increase his income and attract more deals in the industry.
"Kashe is a love song that Element promised his fans but the love we are receiving from it is crazy. Our plan is to take our sound to the global stage and we are almost there,” he said.
Noopja also unveiled plans to drop more surprise tracks in the next months, calling music lovers of Rwanda to keep pushing the industry which is experiencing a boost.
Produced by Element Pro and Bob Pro, Kashe has already generated over 100, 000 views on different platforms including YouTube, Spotify, and Audiomack.
