AFTER A TWO-YEAR HIATUS due to Covid-19, the ‘Bigomba Guhinduka’ comedy show is scheduled to return soon according to organisers.
Bigomba Guhinduka is a Kinyarwanda phrase that translates to "it has got to change’’, and the show focuses on societal issues that have to be changed, ranging from dressing to relating with members of the opposite sex and social media, among others.
"We had two successful editions and paused due to the pandemic which didn’t allow us to continue since 2020 but now we are back because it is possible to resume,” Japhet Mazimpaka, founder of ‘Bigomba Guhinduka’ told The New Times.
Commenting on what the people should expect in this coming edition he said they have to be ready for the ‘best performance’.
"We will give the revellers the best performance because a lot had happened and we created very many jokes from them. So we are expecting to see many people showing up,” he added
In addition, he pointed out that in this edition people will have a chance to watch the duo (Etienne Iryamukuru, a.k.a Etienne 5K and Japhet) performing their brand new content ‘Muhamagare’ which most people are currently enjoying.
Mazimpaka further added that the duo will feature various comedians as well.
Details of the show including the line-up, venue, and entrance fees will be communicated soon.
The comedy show last took place in October 2019.
