Huye Stadium, which is located in the southern province of Rwanda is ready to host games after undergoing renovations.
The 20,000-capacity sports stadium needed a facelift to meet international standards and it has duly undergone renovations for it to meet modern standards.
Times Sport has learnt that the stadium is likely to host the 2021/2022 Rwanda super cup between league winners APR FC and Peace Cup holders AS Kigali on August 14.
A cursory look at the stadium shows that serious work has been done with all the old seats being removed and replaced by new ones whereas the dressing room as well as conference rooms are all furnished.
Rwanda will host the Squirrels of Benin on match day 4 of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers at Huye Stadium on September 26th and it is going to be the first outing of the national team at the stadium since its renovation.
