Kigali Titans 85-42 Flame

The Kigali Titans Basketball Club will advance to the top-flight league after making it to the second division basketball league final.

Like the previous games, the final will be played in a best-of-three format, a contest that will decide which team advances on top of the other to the first division.

Titans stunned Flame with a 43-point difference on Tuesday night, to clinch their final spot.

Center Ameadi Emmanuel bagged a game high 16 points, with the team’s power forward Arsene Picasso Muhizi adding 15 points to make it a seamless defeat.

It was until the third quarter that Muhizi came out hot to hit half of the team’s total three pointers.

The Titans led the game from the first blow of the whistle to the last. Cyrille Kalima’s youthful group did not slow their offense despite a double-digit lead almost throughout the game.

Meanwhile, Orion advanced to the finals last Saturday after defeating Intare Basketball club.

Like the Titans, Orion also showcased a masterpiece after winning back to back games.

Come Friday, both teams are expected to lock horns at the BK Arena, thanks to the local fan base that has forced a shift from Club Rafiki, in Nyamirambo, Nyarugenge.

Best of three format basically means that it will require one of the teams to win two games for the top prize.
