Jean Fidele Uwayezu, the president of Rayon Sports Football Club, officially resigned from his position on Friday, September 13, citing health problems.

Elected on October 24, 2020, his four-year term was set to conclude in October, but he decided to step down earlier than anticipated due to a back ailment requiring treatment abroad.

In an official statement, Rayon Sports acknowledged the resignation.

Sources indicate that he has already traveled overseas to seek treatment.

His resignation comes just weeks before the club's executive committee elections, slated for next month.
