Dedending champions APR have completed the signing of seven new players ahead of the new season which kicks off in September.
The army side is banking on the new players to carry the team to the CAF Champions league group stages, something the club has failed to do in past campaigns.
The new players include; Fibio Nkundimana from Musanze, Fiston Ishimwe from Marines, Ramadhan Niyibizi and Christian Ishimwe from AS Kigali, Clement Niyigena from Rayon Sports, Abouba Uwiduhaye from Police FC and Taibu Mbonyumwami of Espoir FC
APR’s best campaign in Africa’s club competition was in 2004 when they reached the third round under the late Jean Marie Ntagwabira.
Since then, APR, which is the country’s most successful club in Rwanda, has faltered in the continent’s premier competition.
