Following the first edition of the ‘Summer Rubber Fashion Week’ exhibition that took place virtually last year, the second one is finally around the corner and is set to be held from July 10 - 17.
The event is organided by Arthicien to keep on promoting environmentally friendly products as well as made-in Rwanda products, among others.
The show will take place via social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram handles of Arthicien, where photos and videos explaining the products being exhibited will stream live.
Speaking to The New Times, Thicien Niyigena, the founder of Arthicien said that the first edition was successful and assured clients that they would get good products again.
In addition, he pointed out that this time round the fashion week will mainly focus on a different collection of sandals for kids and grownups.
"There are various types of sandals that will be exhibited for both kids and adults which are dubbed ‘Akanyenyeri’ and ‘Akazuba’ for kids, and ‘Inyenyeri’, ‘Izuba’, ‘Mutwarasibo’, ‘Mudugudu’, ‘Tsunami’ and Sabyinyo’ for adults” he added.
Niyigena further emphasized various benefits of rocking rubber sandals including high elasticity, resilience, and tensile strength making them the best sandals to make feet relax and cure muscle contractions, among others.
Organisers added that the event will be a yearly exposition and will be held in different ways (online or physical) depending on the covid-19 situation in the coming years.
Niyigena added that through this exhibition they expect to boost rubber products and educate people on how they can save the environment through recycling.
According to him, the sandals will be purchased in the range of $ 7 to $ 50 depending on their types.
He further highlighted that all products that will be presented in this edition are made of rubber.
