Sunrise FC head coach Innocent Seninga has admitted that staying in the top flight division league in next year’s campaign is his team’s number one priority.
The Eastern Province-based side returned to the top division last month after spending a season in the second division.
Seninga said that the first major task is to make sure the club remains in the top flight division.
"The competition will be tight because teams have improved a lot compared to the past years, so we have to stay focused and make sure we get as many points as possible in the first round of the league. The main objective for me is to make sure the team stays in this division next season,” Seninga said.
The former Police and Musanze coach added: "what is important now is to preserve our status in the national championship and Peace Cup. The management has done their part in regards to motivating the players so that we can achieve our goal next season.”
Sunrise won the second division league title after beating Rwamagana in the second division final at Kigali stadium.
