The Korea Telecom Rwanda Networks (KTRN), Rwanda's 4G LTE wholesaler company, joins hands with Rwandans all of the world in the celebration of the 28th National Liberation day, appreciating the progress made especially by making the best of available resources and using ICT to overcome socio-economic challenges.
Rwanda as a country with a vision of accelerating the use of ICT, the sector continues to be strengthened, and digitalizing -services has exponentially increased in different aspect of our daily lives.
KTRN's Head of Business & Marketing, Robert Mugisha, said that while Rwanda is celebrating its 28th Liberation Day, we stand with the government in the celebration of its achievements. "We are very grateful to the Government of Rwanda for its achievements, especially in the ICT Sector”. He said.
Mugisha said that, the government has played a big role in world-class last mile technologies deployment, ensuring access to internet countrywide. This year, KTRN has realized a tremendous subscriber growth connected on 4G LTE network, this was achieved through strategic partnerships with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and ISPs who have recently embraced to selling 4G services to the general public. We are working toward having a million active subscribers.
He added that, as a company, "we are very proud of the remarkable achievement recorded during these recent high profile meeting ITU & CHOGM, all the 8,000 delegates & Rwandans in general were able to access a stable and reliable internet connection where ever, Thanks to the Government of Rwanda for the cooperation and support.
"In collaboration with KTRN partners, more efforts are being made in spirit to ease 4G enabled-smartphone penetration in the country. However, as we celebrate the 28th Liberation day, let’s take a moment to appreciate not only how far we have come but also honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for us to be here today.” Said Daeheak AN (Aaron), Chief Executive Officer at KT Rwanda Networks
