Chriss Eazy's song ‘Inana’ is a hit for many and French rapper La Fouine and his official DJ Skorp were no exception when the duo gave it a nod during Saturday’s mega concert in Kigali.

Produced by Element and directed by Samy Switch, the track has been making headlines ever since Chriss Eazy was spotted dancing to it with his mother in a video that went viral on social media over the past few weeks shortly after the release.

La Fouine, like any other big artiste, takes an exclusive DJ with him to countries where he performs and Skorp was on the decks in Kigali, to play the songs that the rapper was performing as he entertained hundreds of revelers at AIC-MOCA Concert, held at Imbuga City Walk over the weekend.

But, on La Fouine’s request, The New Times understands that the DJ added ‘Inana’ on his playlist as a sign of appreciation to the song and the ‘incredible’ work that Chriss Eazzy did on the song.

The gesture came after La Fouine encouraged Rwandan artistes to give their all, with passion and hard work if they are to succeed in music, during a pre-concert press conference on Thursday, June 30, at Kigali City Hall.

"There were so many songs that he had to choose from. That’s why choosing our song is a pleasure, a privilege we can’t take for granted. This statement gives us hope and keeps us working hard,” Chriss Eazy told The New Times in an interview.

Chriss Eazy’s manager, Bonny Bugingo, said the song is truly opening the artiste’s horizons and is confident that only the best are yet to come since his music can impress a world-class musician of La Fouine’s caliber.

"To be honest, we were surprised when DJ Spork played the song [‘Inana’] because I am sure he never knew the song before. It’s an honor but also an alert that we still have a lot to do on the way,” Bugingo said.

Since its release a month ago, ‘Inana’ has gathered a total of 1, 815, 773 YouTube views and has since been leading local DJs’ playlists now.
