Callixte Kabera is the Rector of Rwanda Tourism University College in Kicukiro. Below, he takes us through his typical day:
I wake up at 6a.m and have a prayer with my family. I then have breakfast and depart for work.

By 8a.m I should be in office. Given the day’s programme, by 9a.m I am usually meeting various people on appointment. I carry on with work which includes responding to both my staff and visitors.

Towards mid-day, it’s my time to concentrate on only office work. I do not have fixed time for lunch. It depends on how well I have gone with the day’s work.

I continue working until I feel exhausted. I go home then come back to ensure that every thing is going on well for the evening classes.

I monitor and utilise that time to complete what I had not done, but I make sure that by 8p.m I go home. At home I relax, bathe, listen to the news and have supper. I usually go to bed at 11p.m
