Muganza appointed RDB deputy CEO

President Paul Kagame has appointed Juliana Kangeli Muganza as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), the Office of the Prime Minister said on Thursday, September 12.

Muganza succeeds Nelly Mukazayire, who was appointed Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Sports on Wednesday.

Prior to this appointment, Muganza served as Deputy Director of the Cabinet in the Office of the President since December 2023.

From 2014, the economist served in various positions in the President’s Office, including as Senior Analyst on the Strategy and Policy Council.

Her previous international experience includes working as the Programme Coordinator at the West Philadelphia Financial Services Institution from May 2013 to May 2014.

Muganza holds a master’s degree in Public Policy obtained from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Economics and International Business, from Drexel University.
