Rwanda, hosts Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan, and Djibouti have been pooled in Group A of the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 CECAFA Qualifiers slated for October 6-20 in Tanzania.
The groups were confirmed during the official draw held at Azam TV studios in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Thursday, September 12.

The tournament will take place across three venues in the Tanzanian capital namely Azam Complex, KMC Stadium, and Major General Isamuhyo Stadium.
Meanwhile, Group B features reigning champions Uganda, who will renew their rivalry with South Sudan, along with Burundi and Ethiopia.
According to CECAFA Competitions Manager, Yusuf Mossi, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals and the finalists will earn a qualification to the 2025 AFCON U-20 finals.
"We expect a very competitive tournament,” Mossi said.
