Rayon Sports head coach Christian Francis Haringingo is worried about the injuries his side has suffered ahead of the upcoming matches of the Rwanda Premier League.
Haringingo said he has no solution for injury problems but has to prepare his substitutes for the matches ahead. Forwards Eric Mbirizi and Raphael Oliseh suffered knee injuries in the league match against Espoir on Sunday, October 23, which Haringingo said will see the forwards out "for a while.”
Mbirizi and Osalue joined a list of sidelined Rayon Sports players that already includes their captain, Abdul Rwatubyaye, midfielder Blaise Nishimwe, Arsene Tuyisenge, and Leandre Onana.
Haringingo said: "It is a challenge for the team to lose two players; it is a very serious challenge for our team considering the way the league is progressing. There are a lot of unlucky situations. We started with many injuries.”
Haringingo is not sure whether all these six players will play against Sunrise FC on November 4.
"We need to treat them better and see if they can come back early enough. We expect a tough season, which means that we need to have all our big guns available and ready for selection for our every game of the season,” he admitted.
Rayon Sports beat Espoir 3-0 on Sunday, thanks to goals from Raphael Oliseh, Moussa Essenu, and Didier Mucyo as the Blues remained on top of the table with an unbeaten run after five rounds.
