CHRISTUS VINCIT CHOIR is set to celebrate its 10 year anniversary in in a gala concert at Centre Christus Remera in Urumuri Hall, from 6pm, slated on July 3.

Organised under the theme "God is good all the time”, the concert is a celebration for a decade’s milestones by giving thanks to God and expressing gratitude to the community.

Prudence Twahirwa, the choir president said that they having been proclaiming the victory of Jesus for a decade, it is about time they celebrate the good 10 years. 

The choir was founded Dr Didace Mugunga Kayihura, and a few people who used to sing in the English mass that had recently started. They had an idea of making their own choir which was welcomed by some of the graduates who were in Good News choir from Butare and others who used to attend the English mass that took place at 5pm.

Twahirwa revealed that since then the choir helped in the English mass programs at Christus.

"I got recommendation from friends who knew me at Butare to join the choir and later on we welcomed a couples of others who were willing to continue the journey with us,” he said.

The choir’s purpose is to help Christians who attend the English mass pray effectively, to make great music for the church and to help the English community of Christus grow and participate in different charity programs organised by the Catholic Church.

The choir is excited to invite their fans and everyone who would like to come to their concert that the doors are open to all. They acknowledge their fans for the continuous support over the years and promise to keep spreading the victory of Jesus through their music.
