WITH several Black Berry handsets as part of the prizes on offer at the delayed April MTN mug this Saturday, a huge number of golfers is expected to flock the greens at Kigali Golf Club.
According to KGC’s public relations officer Henry Rugamba, on top of the usual mugs, the best golfers on the day will walk away with Black Berries, golf shoes, airtime among others prizes.
"We expect a vibrant atmosphere at the golf club this Saturday. The prizes on offer are huge and we expect stiff competition all the way,” Rugamba predicted.
Steven Katwiremu, who won the March mug, is certainly one of those vying for the April mug.
"I’m looking forward to the action,” Katwiremu, who is fond of winning MTN sponsored competitions, said.
In the March mug, Katwiremu surged to his first win of the season after a superb three-under par 69.
The handicap 03 golfer’s scintillating run centered on birdies on holes 3 and 15 as he finished six shots clear of his nearest challenger Andrew Nkwandi, who carded 75net.
MTN is sponsoring this year’s Monthly mug competition after Bralirwa’s decision not to renew their Mutzig monthly mug.
