Mistaek, a Rwandan musician, is expected to start his ‘Kucyaro’ music tour on Saturday, June 11.
Real name, Nesta Prince Zitoni Bahizi, the artiste plans to start his first music tour in Kigali with the aim of touring other areas too in the country to get his music out there.
"I wanted to tour rural areas in Rwanda and get to know them, it took long to put my project in action because I was still searching for partners to work with. I want to reach all villages in Rwanda and learn about them, now that I found partners to work with, my music tour is going to happen,” he says.
Mistaek, a singer, guitarist, songwriter, DJ, and more, began his career as a DJ before enrolling for music courses at Ecole d’art de Nyundo, which opened doors to being a musician.
Many artistes will appear on the tour like Kenny K-Shot, Yuhi Mike, Keny Sol, Logan Joe, and many more.
His expectations from the tour are to reach all Rwandans as a musician, learn from every part of the country and see if there is anything to add to his music that the people want.
"This is a project that I want to make big because ‘Kucyaro’ means rural areas and it is in the Rwandan context. As a musician who wants to create my own songs that talk about my culture and Rwanda, I want to get to an international level,” he says.
He also adds that he hopes people will come and support him throughout the tour. Mistaek already has two Extend Playlists out; ‘Za story’ and ‘Bad News’, which consist of six to seven songs. He is grateful that people are listening to his music and are getting to know who he is.
The music tour will charge Rwf 3,000 as entrance fee, and Rwf 50,000 for a VIP table of six. There will also be free cocktails and drinks for the ladies.
