Held at Kigali Convention Centre's auditorium, on Saturday evening, attendees of the inaugural Silver Gala lingered past midnight, enjoying an evening of glamour, connections, and support for a noble cause.
Celebrated MTV Award-winning choreographer Sherrie Silver’s Sherrie Silver Foundation, highlighted her efforts to support over 660 children in her home country.
Believed to be a gala for the books, the evening of entertainment included performances by children from the foundation, showcasing traditional and modern dance routines.
The colourful show drew a diverse crowd, including celebrities, dancers, musicians, actors, fashion models and designers, and politicians.
The glamorous event attracted the likes of musicians The Ben, Element Eleéeeh, Kevin Kade and Runtown, former Miss Rwanda Jolly Mutesi and Naomi Nishimwe, Toronto Raptors president and Giants of Africa co-founder, Masai Ujiri and NBA Africa President Clare Akamanzi were among celebrities who attended the event which included red carpet, entertainment and fund raising for the Sherrie Silver Foundation.

The LED stage was a backdrop for dance and music performance routines at the gala. All eyes were on Sherrie Silver, as attendees posed with her at the debut gala. Rwanda's golden boy, The Ben, who spoke at the gala, arrived in an all-white ensemble. Creativity was at its peak, and these rock-solid shoes certainly caught our attention. The show reached its peak when Kevin Kade joined forces with The Ben and Element as the trio performed their hit track 'Sikosa.' Former Anambra state governor Peter Obi was all smiles, enjoying the gala atmosphere. Comedian and entrepreneur Arthur Nkusi hosted the soirée with his signature flair. Sherrie Silver recreated her iconic look from choreographing 'This is America.' One standout moment was a performance of Childish Gambino’s "This Is America."
