A long time ago in a land far, far away, animals lived together with people and they were friends. In this land there lived an old lazy lion. He did not like to work for his food instead, he would hide and sneak up on weaker animals to eat.
One day he said to himself, "I must put something in my stomach else I will die of starvation.”

So he decided to lie down in a dark cave pretending to be ill so that when people come to see him, they would just become his prey. The old lion put his wicked plan into practice. Many of his well-wishers walked by and asked him what was wrong.

"Mr Lion what is the problem?” well wishers would ask.

"Am very ill come in and check on me,” the lion would reply.
As soon as they got into the cave he ate them.

One day, Samuel a very bright little boy came to visit the sick lion. He stood at the door and called on to the lion before going in.

Lion told Samuel to get in but Samuel looked around before going in and realised that all the footprints that went into the cave did not come out.

He told lion he would be back in a while. Samuel went and told everyone about how lion had eaten others. They came back and arrested him forever.

Sometimes, we need to be as bright as Samuel to check on little warnings that we find in our daily lives. Before doing anything look around for warnings of what doesn’t seem and feel right then just walk away.

For example when we meet strangers and feel uncomfortable around them don’t trust them, just walk away and warn other children too.
