Amavubi Stars have received up to three invitations for friendlies matches ahead of their 2010 World/Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Zambia on June 6.

DR Congo, South Africa and Malawi have all written to the local football governing body, Ferwafa requesting for warm up matches with the Amavubi Stars.

"We have received invitations from DR Congo, South Africa and Malawi but we’re yet to confirm which of the three teams we shall play before the end of the month,” Ferwafa boss, Brig. Gen. Jean Bosco Kazura confirmed.

Amavubi Stars are set to regroup on May 14 ahead of their game with Zambia.

Ferwafa is already planning to have the professionals here on time so as to give team coach Tucak Branko ample time to assemble a strong team.

After drawing their first game against Algeria, Rwanda need a good result in Zambia to keep their qualification hopes alive. Zambia also played out to a 1-all draw away to Egypt in Cairo.

The draw left the group wide open as all countries are tied on one point each.

Still in group C, Egypt will play away to Algeria on June 7 in a Northern Africa affair.
