I would like to take this moment and wish all mothers in Rwanda a happy Mothers Day.

I know that I might be a few days too late, however, I feel that it is important to convey just how precious our mothers are to us, their children.

Mommy’s milk gave us nourishment, her love gave us strength and her discipline gave us direction.

When the world seemed to be against us, mommy made sure to let us know that she was always on our side and when the world became friendly again, she revelled in our triumph.

While we might have fought and rebelled, you were always patient and now, we realise that you were right along.

Thank you for loving us.
