Zambia coach Herve Renard has added five players from the country’s U-17 side for a 2010 World/African Cup training camp beginning Monday in Lusaka. The Frenchman selected the players to be part of the training camp ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Algeria next month.

Zambia coach Herve Renard has added five players from the country’s U-17 side for a 2010 World/African Cup training camp beginning Monday in Lusaka.

The Frenchman selected the players to be part of the training camp ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Algeria next month.

The schoolboys have been widely hailed for lining up outstanding talents and Emmanuel Mbola, who was a key member of this team before he left to join Armenian side FC Pyunik, already, commands a starting place in the Chipolopolo.

Top of the list of youngsters is Lusaka Dynamos winger and Under-17 skipper Stanley Nshimbi.

Lusaka Dynamos other youngster, Katongo Chalwe, has also been given a chance to shine with the seniors.

K-Stars’ rookie goalkeeper Kennedy Muma and his team-mate Moses Siansumo have also been awarded their chance to impress the Frenchman.

Others are Zamtel FC duo of Joshua Titima and Percy Kisonge. Other junior internationals are Chambishi’s Emmanuel Masuwa and Mukuka Mulenga of Kabwe Warriors.

The local training camp also has nine players from the team that placed third at the inaugural Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in the Ivory Coast.

Zambia host Rwanda on June 6 in Lusaka before traveling to Algiers for a clash with Algeria four days later.
