President Paul Kagame on Wednesday, September 4, joined other leaders for a Welcome Banquet hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan in honour of Heads of State and Government attending the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit.

The ninth FOCAC Summit being held in Beijing until September 6 has attracted various African leaders.

Under the theme "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future,” the summit will bring together African and Chinese leaders to evaluate the existing cooperation environment and draw a blueprint for common development and prosperity.
