Game 3
Patriots Vs Kepler 6pm (Patriots lead 2-0)
APR Vs REG 8:30pm (APR lead 2-0)
Kepler basketball club will be looking to avoid a sweep as they face Patriots in Wednesday’s make-or-break Game 3 of the betPawa playoffs semifinals at Petit Stade.
Patriots, now leading the series 2-0, will be optimistic about winning Game 3 of the best-of-five semifinal series and finishing the job early to prepare for the finals.
Henry Mwinuka’s side came from behind to beat Kepler 83-71 in Game 1 on Friday, August 30, before running away with another 107-68 victory in Game 2 on Sunday.
It was an easy run in the second game for the Patriots, but Kepler has proven to be a surprise package on the floor in what is their first playoff since the team was promoted to the top-tier league in 2023.
Like Kepler, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) also take rivals APR in a later Game 3 matchup, hoping to win their first game of the series and keep their hopes of qualifying for the finals alive.
James Maye Jr’s APR narrowly won Game 1, in a 92-91 victory, and doubled their lead to 2-0 after take Game 2 with 65-60 win against the electricians.
Both Patriots and APR could go through to the finals provided they overcome their matchups.
