Tunisian top tier side Olympique Beja have completed the signing of former APR FC winger Anicet Ishimwe on a two-year deal, Times Sport has learnt.
The 21-year-old was a free agent until Ben Mousa, his former coach at APR FC, recommended him to the Tunisian side which beat Etoile du Sahel 1-0 in the opening match of the 2024/25 Tunisian Professional League on Saturday, August 31.
Mousa is also said to have had a hand in getting midfielder Bonheur Mugisha signed by Stade Tunisien.
Ishimwe is one of the players who have shown a special talent, enjoying a flawless breakthrough when former coach Adil Erradi Mohamed promoted him in APR’s first time.
He also played for Amavubi U23.
Meanwhile Midfielder Bonheur Mugisha has competed move to Tunisian Ligue 1 side Stade Tunisien.
After the international break, Ishimwe could make his debut when Olympique Beja visit US Ben Guerdane on September 14 while, on September 25, Mugisha’s Stade de Tunisien travel to Tunis to face Esperance.
