The Minister of Defence Juvenal Marizamunda has made new promotions for non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel in the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), the military said on Sunday, September 1.

The Minister promoted one soldier from the rank of Warrant Officer II to Warrant Officer I.

Five soldiers were promoted from the rank of Sergeant Major to Warrant Officer II.

75 Staff Sergeants were promoted to Sergeant Major, while 139 Sergeants were promoted to Staff Sergeants.

119 soldiers with the rank of Corporal were promoted to Sergeant.

The Minister also promoted 4,059 soldiers from the rank of Private to Corporal.
