President Paul Kagame is in Bali, Indonesia, where he will join leaders at the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum, Rwanda's presidency announced on September 1.
The event runs from September 1 through September 3, according to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia — commonly known by its abbreviation Kemlu.
It is intended as a platform to enhance concrete economic cooperation with Africa as Indonesia’s key economic partner, following the success of the first IAF in 2018, Kemlu indicated.
It will focus on the theme of "Bandung Spirit for Africa’s Agenda 2063” and will invite high-level government officials, prominent business leaders, esteemed academicians, and other influential stakeholders to exchange ideas, establish concrete economic cooperation, and expand business networks.
African Union states that Agenda 2063 is Africa’s blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future.
It is the continent’s strategic framework that aims to deliver on its goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
