6Records, the hottest studio in town, is launching its inaugural 6Fest this Saturday, August 31, at Highland Suites Hotel. The event aims to unite music enthusiasts in a celebration of Rwandan talent.
The festival will feature a collaboration between 6Records and Loudsound Music, known for producing the Rwanda Rw’Ejo albums. This event will mark the debut of the third installment in the series.

"6Fest is designed to build a community for all creatives in the industry, offering a collaborative space to enhance the industry as a whole," said Rutaneshwa Manzi, a 6Fest organizer.
"It’s a platform to showcase not only the art and talents but also Rwanda Rw’Ejo III and the concept behind it. It’s an experience you have to see to believe—join us at 6Fest for live music, video shoots, the Rwanda Rw’Ejo show, and many more surprises,” he added.
When asked how this event will differ from previous Rwanda Rw’Ejo premieres, Pro Zed, a lead producer of the series, told The New Times that 6Fest will offer a fresh and improved experience. "This event will be completely different from before," he said. "From noonuntil late into the night, there will be plenty of time to enjoy and celebrate with your favorite people."
He added, "It’s not just a Rwanda Rw’Ejo listening party; we’ll have diverse performances and DJs. Guests can also enjoy top-tier food and drinks, and a pool party, which we haven’t featured in past Rwanda Rw’Ejo events.”

This collaboration with 6 Records promises great vibes and an unforgettable show. We’re also excited to showcase some exclusive pieces.”
"This will be our first collaboration with 6 Records and the inaugural 6Fest edition,” Butare added. "We’re eager to partner with them to promote our beliefs, values, and the movement we’re driving.”
Tickets are available for Rwf 10,636 for early birds and Rwf 16,363 at the door.
Looking ahead, Manzi highlighted that 6Fest is intended to be more than just an annual event; it aims to be a transformative force in Kigali's creative scene. "The festival is set to expand, cultivating a vibrant ecosystem that supports and unites artists, brands, and creative communities, ultimately creating something far beyond our initial vision.”
The New Times has learned that, in addition to premiering the Rwanda Rw’Ejo 3 album, 6Fest will also showcase new albums from emerging artists, including Yeweee, Nivana, Heartbreak Radio, and Legends Reimagined. The event will feature video shoots for select tracks from these albums, further enriching the experience.
