The Mayor of Rwamagana District, Valens Ntezirembo has urged workers in the district to prolong their working hours , saying it is the only way to increase production.

"To work better and ensure sufficient production, people have to increase working hours as urged by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Rwanda,” Ntezirembo said over the weekend at a ceremony to mark the International Labour Day.

At the function, the district awarded prizes to best performing workers and entrepreneurs. Ntezirembo empasized that working for longer hours will accelerate development and increase output. 

"For those rendering essential  services, it is better for them to inculcate a culture of undertaking day and night shifts so that people can be served any time they need such services,” he added.
