Zambia Football Association has summoned a 25-man squad to start preparations for the 2010 World/Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda due on June 6 in Lusaka.

Zambia coach Herve Renard has called back Mamelodi Sundowns striker Collins Mbesuma, along with China-based striker James Chamanga and Isaac Chansa.

Mbesuma was left out of March’s trip to Egypt because Renard insisted on picking a striker who could defend and attack against the Pharaohs in Cairo. He therefore preferred CHAN hero Given Singuluma to the former Portsmouth ace.

However, another CHAN star, on-loan Zesco United midfielder William Njobvu, was dropped from the 25-man squad list released by Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).

Also out of the squad is Angola-based defender Elijah Tana.

The Chipolopolo, or the Copper Bullets as they are known by their fans, are expected to get together in South Africa ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Algeria at Chililabombwe’s Konkola Stadium on June 6 and June 21, respectively.

Both Rwanda and Zambia have one point each following a goalless and one-all draw against Algeria and Zambia respectively.

Rwanda must away to Zambia to ensure her safety in the qualification for the 2010 World Cup finals due in South Africa as well as Africa Nations Cup finals in Angola.
