Midfielder Hakim Sahabo could join French Ligue 2 side Red Star FC before the 2024 Summer transfer deadline due on August 31.
The Rwanda international made 18 appearances for the Standard Liege senior team in the 2023/24 season after being promoted from the second team in January.
However, he suffered a knee injury in the course of the campaign and underwent minor surgery. He returned to action on Sunday, August 25, in the league game against Beerschot where he started on the bench.

According to French news outlet l'Equipe, Red Star are eager to swoop for Sahabo and they have opened talks with Standard Liege for a possible transfer.
The Rwandan teenager has two more years on his current Standard Liege deal and he could either be signed on loan or on a permanent deal if Red Star are able to meet the Belgian side’s a Euro 1.5 million price tag.
Sahabo is not new to the French football, having previously featured for Lille U17 team where he was one of their key players before moving to Standard Liege on July 1, 2023.
Premier League newcomers Leicester City and German Bundesliga pair Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG Hoffenheim also showed interest in the midfielder earlier this transfer window.
