MUSIC LOVERS are in for a treat as Kigali awaits top musicians from around the world, among them South African rapper, Costa Titch.
The rapper who is now trending after releasing 'Big Flexa' is expected to perform during the Ycee cancelled show which was moved to July 16, at Canal Olympia Rebero.
Dubbed 'My 250 and Trappish', the event is being organised with the help of Rwanda Convention Bureau (RCB) which allowed compensating organisers of the cancelled event with a better venue and paying part of the production cost of the concert.
"Yeah, Costa has already allowed the deal to headline the show and we can’t wait to party with him,” said an official from Trappish Ent adding that, revellers who had already bought tickets of the cancelled show will be allowed to use them at the ‘My 250 and Trappish Concert’.
Talking to The New Times, Ish Kevin, founder of Trappish Ent welcomed the decision of RCB to help young musicians noting that it’s a big move which indicates that many, including the old generation, have started admiring and respecting Rwandan music.
"We have been working hard to convince Rwandans that we, as the young generation are capable and it’s finally paying off. If provided with enough support, we will put this music on the map,” he said.
For the revellers of the first concert who went home disappointed by its cancellation, Ish Kevin promised them a better turn up at the upcoming show which will be headlined by most young artistes making headlines in the country such as Logan Joe, B-Threy, Babou Tight King, Bushali, Kivumbi, Gabiro Guitar, France, Kenny K-Shot, OG2tone to mention a few.
Tickets for the concert will be available soon at Rwf5, 000 regular, Rwf15, 000 for VIP and a table of six at Rwf200, 000.
