Police FC recorded their second victory in the 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League season with a 2-1 win over Etincelles at the Kigali Stadium on Friday, October 21.
Until Friday's victory over Etincelles Police FC had won only one game in the season, against Bugesera FC, whereas their opponent's only win was against Sunrise FC.
The game started on a good note for Police FC. They pinned the visitors into their own half. Their dominance yielded dividends in the 35th minute when Onesme Twizerimana fired them ahead. It was the attacker's third goal in three successive games this season with the others being against Bugesera and APR in previous games.
After the break, Etincelles lifted up their game with Ghanaian striker Moro Sumaila in the thick of affairs. The lanky forward restored parity for Etincelles in 57th minute with a fabulous strike. The goal was Moro's fourth this season and his third in a row after scoring against Bugesera and Kiyovu Sports.
Police FC came firing from all angles after Etincelles had pulled even and it worked out for them.
Twizerimana Fabrice scored Police FC's second goal in the 66th minute and they continued to have better possession until the referee blew his whistle for the end.
