Rwanda’s Table Tennis team takes camp in China

A group of 13 players and coaches of the national 'Table-Tennis' team on Tuesday, August 27, headed to China for a month-long training camp.

Rwanda Table Tennis Federation Technical Director Yves Ndizeye told Times Sport that the traveling players hope to make the most of the training opportunity.

"We hope that they will study, practice, improve their knowledge on and off the game and they will meet and learn from top international players who play the game at the highest level,” Ndizeye said in an interview.

"It is good to see such an opportunity for Rwandan young athletes. We are grateful to our country for always looking for the best for us and the Chinese Embassy for the good cooperation they have with our federation, so that at least every year we get high-level training in order to improve our performance in this game," he added

Rwandan players and coaches have for the past seven years been traveling to China to hold similar training camps in Table Tennis.
