Kiyovu football club have staked Rwf30 million for players if they win the 2021/22 Rwanda premier league, according to the club president, Juvenal Mvukiyehe. The Mumena based side is in fine form after defeating champions APR 2-1 over the weekend, a result that moved them level on points with APR but the latter have a one goal advantage. Kiyovu players were given a bonus Rwf150, 000 each after beating APR in the league on Saturday and with three matches until the end of the season, the Green Baggies are dreaming of winning the trophy they last won in 1993. "We have promised them that to win this competition will not only make many fans proud but there is a financial reward of $1000 (Rwf1.2m) for each player,” Mvuyekure noted. Kiyovu’s remaining fixtures include ties against Etoile de l’est before traveling to Rusizi to take on Espoir while their final match will be a tough test against stubborn Marine. APR's remaining ties are aaginst Gorilla, AS Kigali and Police.
