RWANDAN RAPPER, Steven Munyurangabo best known as Siti True Karigombe is preparing to drop his first album this summer, as he celebrates five years in music.
Several songs so far are already out while others are still in the final production.
Karigombe told The New Times that "I started to write this album in 2017 and many songs which are compiled on this album are out, some of them are ‘Never give up,’ which is my first song, ‘Sandra’, ‘Umunyerezo’, ‘Hamba muri Roho’, ‘Kigali Party’, ‘Pikipiki’, ‘Muduhe Inzira’, ‘Urudashoboka’ and the latest song ‘Imvururu mu mutwe”.
"The other songs are also solos and collaborations with local Rwandan stars and in the coming days some of the remaining songs will be out,” he added.
Every title of each song has a correlation with the name of the next song and there is a documentary which will come before the album's official launch.
He said that "The documentary story which will be out before releasing the official album will be talking about normal life including the reality of everyday lives of people experience along with the love story."
This album, which is called ‘Ikirombe cya Karigombe’, will have about 14 to 26 songs including some Rwandan collaborations. Some local stars featured with him are Safi Madiba, Rehema Neema, Hope Irakoze, one of the Tusker Project Fame winners, Big Rechel, Bull Dogg, Mani Martin and others he didn’t want to mention.
The journey of advertising this album will start later this month and will include a tour around the country.
"Before giving my fans a magnificent album I will travel in all provinces in advertising it and approaching my fans everywhere, it will be a tour which will star this May and I want to give shows in schools and clubs in different provinces and towns around the country,” Karigombe told The New Times.
Karigombe added that during this tour he will be together with some local singers of all generations.
"In these tours, I want to give my fans different shows in Kigali city and other regions, in the tour. I will be alongside either my generation's singers or the older generation of singers,” he revealed.
Karigombe graduated in 2016 at Nyundo School of Art and Music which has contributed in Rwanda’s music industry growth.
Karigombe revealed that more than 10 producers worked on the album such as Braiton P, Neaxs, Admin Pro, Bob Pro, Real Beat, Junior, Knox Beat, Igor Mabano, Track Slayer and Sam top hit all.
