NCBA Bank Rwanda on Sunday, May 8, joined Kayonza district to take part in the 28th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The Bank also reached out to the genocide survivors living in the district by providing community health insurance to 333 survivors and their families.
The initiative is among the Bank’s avenues of connecting with the communities it serves.
The event started at Mukarange Memorial Site followed by meeting the community health beneficiary representatives who also took part in the commemoration ceremony at the NCBA Bank Kayonza branch.

"We believe that through supporting the distribution of health insurance in the community of Kayonza, it will have a far-reaching impact on the community’s wellness.” noted Diane Mukunde, the Head of Retail Banking at NCBAR.
Jean Damascene Harelimana, the Vice Mayor in charge of social affairs in Kayonza district hailed NCBA’s support and asked the beneficiaries not to take it for granted.
"I would like to thank NCBA for supporting the Kayonza community in a tangible way,” he stressed.
