People will understand differently the impact of the words, “A man cheated on his wife”. The difference depends on how each one may be affected if ever faced with the same in a relationship. It hurts more when a partner realises that he or she is being cheated on.
People will understand differently the impact of the words, "A man cheated on his wife”. The difference depends on how each one may be affected if ever faced with the same in a relationship.
It hurts more when a partner realises that he or she is being cheated on. Although some may do it with hopes of keeping it a secret from their partners, it somehow leaks and usually leads to a break up.
Some partners easily forget that they have a responsibility of being faithful to their partners due to reasons which they believe are strong.
Sometimes it may start as mere flirtation or a fling then emotions grow and they can’t disentangle themselves from it.
In that process, it is therefore possible for a partner to realise weaknesses and challenges with the previous partner. It is not easy to realise that that special treatment given is because it’s a new catch.
Allan Musoke, a university graduate, managed to get a partner from his university. When he started working, he ‘tried’ another lady. In his story, he terms it as trying, meaning he was not serious with the relationship.
"She was living independently. This made the visit easy,” he said. When he was leaving, he gave the lady Rwf 5000.
The lady knelt before and thanked him. Musoke did not believe what he saw.
"I knew kneeling exists but it had never been done for me. No partner has ever knelt before me. I can not express how I felt,” he said. He said that from that moment, the lady was always on his mind and one day he requested to spend a night with her.
"What about your wife at home…?” the lady asked. This question apparently raised Musoke’s regard of the lady.
"The lady was really responsible and considerate. Can you imagine she felt sorry for someone she did not even know!” he said. The two are now married. What you may term as a fling could turn into a real relationship or even marriage.
Just don’t hurt someone’s feelings along the way. Musoke was lucky but it could have turned nasty as is wont to be.
