Sky Sports presenter Naomi Schiff has delved deep into her life in the Formula One sports industry.
Schiff, a Formula One driver was added to the presenting team behind Sky Sports Formula One’s new show "Any Driven Monday "in March this year and she has opened up on her life in the sports including the challenges she has faced.
"People aren’t always going to enjoy change, change is most often met with resistance, but it has been good. There’s been a lot of support which has surprised me, of course there’s a lot of people that say I am there for box ticking reasons,” Schiff said.
She added that it is not the reason she is in formula One and that she ticks a lot of boxes other than that box that everyone wants to say ‘I’m there for!” The 38-year-old told UK based website Voice-online.
"You’re going to face that criticism, but it doesn’t change the way I feel. I love motorsport and I feel grateful to be there and everyone within the paddock has been very welcoming.”
Schiff further mentioned that she is not distracted by negative comments outside as it is normal and she is happy the people she works with are good.
"There’s always keyboard warriors that will say what they have to say, but when it comes down to the paddock and the people that I work with, everyone has been great.” She added.
Born on May 18, 1994 in Antwerp to a Rwandan mother and Belgian father, Schiff started racing at the age of 11 with karting in South Africa where she grew up.
Her major achievements in car racing includes the 2014 Clio Cup Asia championship title where she had seven wins from 10 starts and also the 2018 KTM GT4 X-Bow Battle championship title as well as a second place finish in the 2018 ADAC Zurich 24 Hours Nürburgring.
