BAL releases ticket prices for playoff games

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has announced ticket prices for the playoff games that get underway on May 21 - 28 at the Kigali Arena.

Eight teams for different countries, including Rwanda Energy Group (REG) from Rwanda will be rubbing shoulders to establish a new continental champion.

According to the pricing information, the tickets will be in several categories including group tickets, early bird tickets, premium, and standard tickets.

The seating arrangements vary from the courtside seats, lower bowl seats, upper bowl seats, premium seats and a special seating areas for families.

Courtside seats will bring fans closest to the game for an immersive experience of the game, give them access to the VIP lounge, with food and beverage, open before, during and after the games.

Premium seats will be located in the South section of the Arena, behind the courtside seats, on the sideline.

Lower-bowl seats are on located on the first level, while upper bowl ones are on the second level.

The family section is located on the baseline of the 1st level, dedicated to families to enjoy the game together.

Standard (normal) tickets:

VIP Courtside: Rwf 60000

Premium: Rwf 30000

Lower Bowl: Rwf 15000

Upper Bowl: Rwf 8000

Family Section: Rwf 7000

Full Access Tickets (Covering all the playoff games):

VIP Courtside: Rwf 150000

Premium: Rwf 50000

Lower Bowl: Rwf 25000

Early Bird Tickets (bought before May 13):

VIP Courtside: Rwf 32000

Premium: Rwf 12000

Lower Bowl: Rwf 6000

Family Section: Rwf 5000

Meanwhile, the national broadcaster will also show the games live.

In an exclusive interview with Times Sport, Arthur Asiimwe, the Director General at Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) said they have already bought the rights to show the games.

The eight teams that qualified for the BAL playoffs are: REG (Rwanda), US Monastir (Tunisia), As Sale (Moroccan)and SLAC (Guinea) from Sahara Conference, while Nile Zamalek (Egypt), Petro de Luanda (Angola), Cape Town Tigers (South Africa) and F.A.P (Cameroun).

REG advanced to the last eight-game playoffs as the leader of the Sahara Conference in a historic performance that saw the team losing only one game in a total of five.
