Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos, goalkeeper Keylor Navas and forward Julian Draxler are expected to visit Rwanda on Saturday, April 30, a visit arranged through the French club’s current partnership deal with Visit Rwanda.
It’s the first visit by any PSG player since Rwanda and the French Football giants signed a three-year sponsorship deal in December 2019.
Announcing their highly-anticipated visit to Rwanda, Ramos, in a promotional video released by the French club, showed off the Visit Rwanda log at the back of his training kit while confirming that he and his teammates are visiting the country.
"I am going to pack my bag because I am going to the Volcanoes Park. To the National Park. Because I want to meet the baby gorillas…’Mudasumbwa’, "he said.
The former Real Madrid will fly to Kigali with his wife and his teammates Draxler and Navas, who said he is looking forward to getting to "know a bit of Rwandan culture and see the gorillas”
An excited Draxler also said the visit will be something he was looking forward to.
"Honestly, I can’t wait to go there with the team to explore the big five,” the German international said.
The trio travel to Kigali on Friday night shortly after the French Champions play their league game against Strasbourg.
