Table leaders Atraco Fc will be hoping for maximum points when they take on AS Kigali this afternoon at Kicukiro artificial turf.

The champions go into the match seeking to extend their lead at the summit of the national football league table standing.

Sam Timbe’s side leads the league table with 43 points having lost thrice in 18 matches and is just six points away from winning a second successive league title.

With their attacking brand of football, Atraco are favorites to record a vital win over an in-form AS Kigali side sitting on fifth position with 24 points, level with fourth place Electrogaz who have a better goal difference of +2 as compared to AS Kigali’s -6.

According to assistant coach Emmanuel Ruremesha, the Taxi-men side is fully prepared and not ready to drop any points with only four games remaining.

However, Atraco will miss the services of influential defender Aloua Gaseruka and striker Andre Lomami who are suspended for today’s game.

None the less, Eric Nshimiyimana’s side also without their injured captain Egide Rutayisire (knee) will find it difficult stopping the league top scorers Jean Lomami (14) and Hamis Kitagenda (10).

Despite the challenge ahead, Nshimiyimana is confident his youthful side will make it difficult for the champions. Elsewhere, Electrogaz host Kiyovu at Mumena stadium while Marines play away to Rayon Sport at Nyamirambo stadium.

Meanwhile, record nine-time league winners APR Fc have a tricky fixture tomorrow against Police at Nyamirambo stadium.

APR is second on the standings with 39 points, level with rivals Rayon Sport but the military side has a better goal difference of 28 goals to Rayon’s 17.
