Kiyovu's title charge was dealt a heavy blow on Friday after losing 2-0 to Gasogi at Kigali Stadium in Nyamirambo.

Gasogi forward Chrisitian Malipangou converted a  sport kick in the 45th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead.

The Green Baggies side pressed for an equaliser but their striking force failed to utilise their chances.

Although Kiyovu pushed ahead after the break, it was Gasogi which doubled their lead in the 57th minute.

Kiyovu strikers Emmanuel Okwi, Abedi Bigirimana and Bienvenue Mugenzi failed to put away their numerous chances.

The win took Gasogi to 9th place with 26 points after 23 matches.

Elsewhere Police beat Musanze 1-0 while Rutsiro defeated Etoile del’Est 1-0.
