Rwandan gospel music sensation Israel Mbonyi put up a historical show in Uganda during his maiden concert in the country on Friday night, August 23, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Kampala.

Organized by Mascob Events, the concerts was an unforgettable experience that attracted over 15,000 worshipers including top Uganda celebrities and government officials who were all amazed by the artiste’s live performance.

Flanked by his band, Mbonyi spent two hours on the stage, performing some of his hit songs including &039;Nina Siri' which made him a household name in the East African region.

After his performance, Mbonyi met Rwanda’s envoy in Uganda, Col. Joseph Rutabana, who congratulated him for representing the country well during the first show of his Uganda musical tour.

Hours after the Kampala mega show, Mbonyi to his social media platforms and revealed that he was thrilled by the warm welcome and pomp he received in Uganda.

"Oh My GOD ! #Kampala #UGANDA , What a night of glory and Grace . Thank you, Lord, for your presence and thank you for this Unforgettable Moment,” the artiste posted on X.

His musical trip to Uganda comes days after another tour in Kenya where he also staged a concert that attracted thousands of revelers including top government officials and celebrities.

After Kampala, Mbonyi will take his stage at Mbarara University Inn grounds on August 25.

The musician's decision to sing in other languages including English and Swahili has expanded his ministry’s reach.

He recently staged concerts in several countries including Belgium in western Europe where the demand for tickets surpassed expectations, forcing organisers to move the event from Birmingham Palace to a bigger venue, Dome Eventhall.

Icyambu hitmaker, Israel Mbonyi's concert in Kampala was reported to be one of his shows that attracted a quite big number of revelers.
