Radio host Sandrine Isheja appointed deputy head of Rwanda Broadcasting Agency

Radio host Sandrine Isheja Butera has been appointed the deputy Director-General of the national broadcaster RBA.

A Cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame on Friday, August 23, appointed radio host Sandrine Isheja Butera as the deputy Director-General of Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA).

Until her appointment announced by the Prime Minister’s Office, Isheja was a radio host at Kiss FM.

Isheja, who has more than 15 years of experience as a radio host, will deputise Cleophas Barore.

Barore was appointed as RBA’s Director General in December 2023, replacing Arthur Asiimwe, who had been appointed Deputy Chief of Mission in the Rwandan embassy in the United States.

Isheja began her radio career at Huye-based Radio Salus in 2008.

In 2013, she joined KFM, before moving to KISS FM in 2014.
